Developer Note: I've been a one-person team for the Thailand Horror Jam 2024, creating a spooky game in 31 Hours inspired by Thai ghost stories, "Phi Pop"

I've thrown in a math puzzle based on the Josephus Problem to challenge players. Can you survive without cheating with Excel or pausing the game? Let's find out!

About The Game:

In Thai folklore, the "Phi Pop" is a malevolent spirit known for possessing people and devouring their internal organs. A quirky element often associated with the Phi Pop is the "Ong" (large earthen jar).

Phi Pop are characterized by their preference for raw meat, their reclusive nature, and their tendency to avoid social interaction. If not properly appeased, they may consume the internal organs of the person they possess.

However, accusing someone of being a Phi Pop can sometimes be a way to ostracize or expel them from the community, acting as a form of social "judgment" against that individual.

The portrayal of Phi Pop in the Thai movie series "Ban Phee Pob" (The Ghoul Village) has contributed to a classic comedic image in Thai popular culture. Throughout the 10 films in the series, characters are often seen frantically running and hiding in large earthen jars to escape the Phi Pop, creating a memorable and humorous image associated with this ghost.

In popular depictions, particularly in the "Ban Phee Pob" (The Ghoul Village) movie series, people often try to escape the Phi Pop by hiding inside these jars. This has become a classic comedic image in Thai culture, linking the Phi Pop with the iconic image of people frantically scrambling into ongs.
